Hyundai's latest addition to the EV market is the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6, which is scheduled for release in the first half of 2023. It's expected to offer three different trim levels, namely SE, SEL, and Limited, along with the option of a long-range battery pack, rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. As the successor to the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 6 is projected to be competitively priced at around the low $40,000s, putting it in the same price range as the Tesla Model 3. Based on the Ioniq 5 platform, the base single-motor rear wheel drive Ioniq 6 delivers 149 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Opt for the long range 77.4 kWh battery, and the performance is amped up to an impressive 225 horsepower. If you're looking for more practicality, the dual-motor all wheel drive variants crank out an impressive 320 horsepower and 446 lb-ft of torque. Impressive performance specs, but how is the range? Range Anxiety is a thing after all. No worries however, as the standard 53kWh battery will keep you on the road for 272 miles whereas the 270 miles. Charging time is also spectacular; thanks to Hyundai's EGM-P platform, all versions of the Ioniq 6 will be compatible with 400 and 800-volt infrastructures — allowing for a 80% charge in just 18 minutes.
