The Hyundai Sonata Receives Bold 2024 Refresh
Hyundai has given the Sonata a fresh facelift for 2024, as the current gen has been long in production since 2019. Perhaps not a long time for other auto manufacturers, but Hyundai is always looking for ways to improve — hence the refresh. However, the refresh is not only for exterior design, as changes are coming to the interior as well. In this posting, we will go over all details of the 2024 Sonata that we know of, so that you can be up to date on Hyundai's newly designed 2024 Sonata. As of the publication of this posting, no details regarding the powertrain has been released, but stay tuned as we will keep you updated as more details become available.
Futuristic and Striking Exterior
The new Sonata captures Hyundai's "Sensuous Sportiness" design philosophy by transforming the Sonata into a dynamic and futuristic vehicle, with aggressive lines and contrastingly elegant curves. But how is this design philosophy translated to the new exterior? Whereas the current gen Sonata has an upward curving bottom bumper, the new 2024 Sonata, to the joy of many car enthusiasts, sports a bottom bumper stance that's linear and lower to the ground, giving the Sonata a more confident and aggressive look. Gone are the sharp, triangular headlights; replaced with Hyundai's Seamless Horizon Lamp, an illuminating bar that spans the entire hood of the car, exuding minimalism and retro-futurism. Besides the Seamless Horizon Lamp, numerous hidden headlights assist with visibility and accentuates the Sonata's wide stance. At the rear, the new 2024 Sonata's trunk has a swooping spoiler and H-lights. For performance oriented fans, the Sonata N Line makes a return, giving the 2024 Sonata a rear spoiler, dual twin-top mufflers, and exclusive 19-inch wheels.
Driver-Centric Interior
The interior of the 2024 Sonata reflects the futuristic, high-tech design of the exterior. A "Panoramic Curved Display" integrates both the 12.3-inch information cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment system for one beautiful and sleek display. Even with all cutting-edge technology, Hyundai has thankfully implemented physical buttons for some controls. So no more fiddling with unresponsive volume sliders and glitchy controls while you're on the road. Besides the infotainment, the interior will feature column-type shift-by-wire behind the steering wheel, palm rest, and large size cup holder and tray. Many new Hyundai cars also have ambient lighting as standard or options, so it would be safe to say that the 2024 Sonata will have the same.So that's all we currently know regarding the new 2024 Elantra.
