The Hyundai IONIQ 9 has a starting MSRP of $58,955 for the base S trim, and could go up to around $80,000 for the highest Performance Calligraphy Design trim with all available options. The RWD models will offer more range and cost less than the AWD models, which have quicker acceleration and performance. It is important to remember that this 3-row SUV will qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit for electric vehicles.Range, Battery, and Charging
Hyundai gave the IONIQ 9 two battery options: a 110.3 kWh battery for long-range models and a 99.8 kWh battery for the base model. According to Hyundai, the projected EPA range estimate for the Long-Range RWD model with 19-inch wheels is 335 miles. Hyundai has also claims that the 110.3-kWh lithium-ion battery can be recharged from 10 to 80 percent in just 24 minutes on a properly operating 350-kW DC fast charger, thanks to the 800V battery system. The IONIQ 9 S RWD is capable of 92 MPGe combined, with the SE and SEL AWD trims coming in at 88 MPGe. Ioniq 9 models with the Performance AWD powertrain return 85 MPGe combined.
